Pitching in COVID times

Introduction

Virtual platforms have allowed us to keep in touch with colleagues and clients. It’s a new medium to most and we need to be aware of the challenges, and the potential. Now we know how to turn on the camera and mute ourselves, it’s time to upskill and understand how to build chemistry and how to wow your clients.

Tessa Morton has been delivering presentation skills training in the industry for many years and she, like everyone else, has been learning the best way to present with impact in this new format. She wants to share everything she has learnt in the last ten months with us, to give us the confidence to use virtual platforms to our advantage.

About the presenter

Tessa has been delivering presentations and pitch training to the industry for over 30 years. Her clients include AMV, JWT, TMW, ENGINE, EASYJET, JUST EAT, AUDI, BARCLAYS, ITV, CO-OP and she has been running seminars for AAR for over 12 years. Her background is in TV/Radio presenting, acting, teaching and coaching. In the last year, she has been helping her clients switch to virtual platforms; not just dealing with the challenges of wifi connection but also the challenge of human connection.

Running this session online

Normally, AAR seminars are held in the rather lovely Penthouse over at the IPA on Belgrave Square, and we hope to be welcoming you through their doors again very soon. However, during these challenging times of social distancing and restrictions indoors, all of our Core and Senior seminars will be delivered remotely via Zoom video conference. This enables us to continue to deliver on our commitment to providing training for our agency subscribers in a safe and convenient format.

We will be running one session only from 10am to 12.30pm on Wednesday 17 March 2021 via Zoom. If you or a colleague would like to participate, please do email us on events@aargroup.co.uk and we’ll be sure to send you the conference details.

NB: AAR seminars are exclusive to AAR subscribing agencies only. A maximum of FIVE places per agency for our remote sessions, please.
