Paul Stevenson has more than 30 years of experience helping organisations build marketing functions that can deliver their strategy, not just define it.
Having spent most of his career leading customer marketing, CRM and transformation programmes inside major organisations, Paul now works with CMOs, marketing leaders, agencies and technology partners to bridge the gap between strategic ambition and operational delivery.
Throughout his career, Paul has led large-scale transformation programmes across B2B and B2C organisations spanning Telecommunications, Financial Services and Electronics Manufacturing. His experience covers marketing leadership, operating model design, customer experience, CRM, organisational change, MarTech adoption, agency ecosystems and the development of high-performing marketing teams.
Since working in consultancy, Paul has supported organisations across hospitality, banking, professional services, risk management, telecommunications and the charity sector. His work spans marketing operating models, organisational design, campaign operations, performance culture, leadership coaching and technology-enabled transformation.
Known for his straight-talking, collaborative approach, Paul quickly gets to the heart of complex challenges, bringing clarity where organisations often see complexity. He has built a reputation for turning ambitious strategies into practical delivery plans, helping leadership teams simplify ways of working, improve decision-making and create the conditions for lasting change.
Often described as the “COO to the CMO”, Paul works alongside marketing leaders to build organisations that are aligned, accountable and capable of delivering better outcomes. Rather than producing recommendations and walking away, he stays close to implementation, helping teams embed new ways of working that deliver measurable and sustainable improvements.
Alongside his consulting work, Paul is a regular writer and speaker on marketing transformation, operating models, leadership and agency partnerships, sharing practical insights drawn from more than three decades of leading change from both inside organisations and as an independent adviser.
