AAR today announces the appointment of Alex Steele as Lead Consultant within its Drive practice; helping CMO’s drive the performance of their marketing eco-systems. Alex has been hired to spearhead AAR’s in-housing consultancy, enabling CMO’s to optimise the people, skills and processes they need to meet the challenges of in-housing.
Alex has 20 years of Advertising and Marketing experience. He spent 12 years working agency side at JWT, McCann-Erickson and BBH in client service, international production and resource management roles before moving client-side, successfully setting up and leading an in-house agency for a FTSE250 business. After working in several client roles, latterly as Head of International Marketing, he left to work as a consultant; lending his experience and expertise to agencies and start-ups.
He brings a proven track record of tackling operational challenges and succeeding in making difficult change land; crucial as clients implement increasingly complex transformations within their marketing ecosystem and demand excellence in delivery, working at a fast pace.
Victoria Fox, CEO at AAR commented:
“Balancing the in-housing, in-sourcing and outsourcing requirements of a brand’s marketing ecosystem remains one of the biggest challenges CMO’s face. However, having the architecture in place doesn’t necessarily mean it all works. Optimising performance is key. We are delighted to welcome Alex to the AAR team. He brings with him a wealth of experience of transforming in-house marketing functions, which will be a huge asset for our clients.”
Alex Steele, Lead Consultant Drive at AAR commented:
“I’m thrilled to be joining AAR at an exciting time for the company and for the marketing industry. Taking AAR’s in-housing consultancy to the next level by embedding the changes to set in-house agencies up for success, whether the solution is a pure in-house model or a right housing model working with outsourced partners, will be a game changer for our clients and ensure that the theory translates into real day to day action.”
AAR’s Drive practice improves the performance of marketing ecosystems by helping brand owners improve ways of working, upskill its people, embed change programmes, measure client: agency performance to increase marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
