AAR Group is continuing its future-proofing process by hiring Rebecca Nunneley to the role of Business Director.
Nunneley, who joins from Oystercatchers, reports directly to Martin Jones, Senior Managing Partner at AAR. Having started her career at Oystercatchers, Nunneley rose to the position of Client Director in early 2019.
Her appointment follows significant changes last year at AAR, which saw the consultancy become staff-owned, with an employee ownership trust (EOT) taking the majority share in the business.
The ownership change was instigated to motivate staff to strengthen business performance, encourage entrepreneurialism and innovation, and to ensure the company is passed onto the next generation of business leaders. As part of this transition, Victoria Fox was appointed CEO to replace Kerry Glazer who moved to the position of Chair.
Victoria Fox said: “Rebecca really understands the modern marketing landscape. That brands and marketing are now in a continual cycle of change to define their model to be able to grow. Clients are reviewing their operating models and their internal capabilities to be future fit and relevant to their customers.
“The neutral consultancy that a trusted advisor like AAR can offer to help navigate these decisions is increasingly needed. Rebecca is insightful, knowledgeable, and a balanced champion of both agency and brand. She is keen to learn and absorb knowledge from Martin Jones and Managing Director Paul Phillips, who have over 40 years joint experience navigating this space.”
Rebecca Nunneley said: “I am delighted to be joining AAR, and really looking forward to being part of Victoria, Paul and Martin’s exciting plans for the future of the business. There has never been more of a need for a neutral intermediary, but the offering needs to be broader. How AAR are growing and investing in their model consultancy and people and performance consultancy alongside traditional pitch consultancy will really help brands shape and drive the right partnerships “
